The Alliance Française was established in Paris, in 1883 by eminent figures of the arts, sciences, and politics to ensure the influence of the French language and culture around the world.
The Alliance Française of Stellenbosch, situated in the picturesque village of Stellenbosch offers the community of Stellenbosch and its surroundings the ideal location for discovering the French culture and language.
L’Alliance is situated in one of the oldest and most beautiful building in town, known as the Skuinshuis. It is an impressive historical building built in 1782 with a charming courtyard to the side and a delicious coffee shop to the front, next to the old Stellenbosch synagogue. The elegance of the building and its favourable location allow our students to experience the European tradition of knowledge acquisition right in the centre of town.
Everyone is welcome at the Alliance Française of Stellenbosch. We offer a wide variety of courses for all ages and purposes and in three different languages.
