TEF (Test d’Evaluation de Francais) is an international test that measures the level of knowledge and skills in French. It consists of four modular tests: writing, reading, oral comprehension and oral expression. Organised by the Chambre de Commerce et d’Industrie de Paris, TEF certificate is often required for immigration, academic or naturalisation purposes in Canada and France.

WHICH EXAMS TO CHOOSE?
There are various versions of the TEF exam:
TEF certifies your level of French for entry into French universities. Some institutions require specific scores (usually B2 or C1), so always check the university’s requirements.
TEF Canada is requested for immigration to Canada.
TEFAQ is required for immigration to Quebec.
TEF Naturalisation (TEF Nat) is required for French naturalization purposes.
